Perhaps no one did as much to help establish the United States as Haym Salomon—a forgotten hero who gave everything for the cause of freedom.
(64 pages)
Many Jews fought as soldiers in George Washington’s Revolutionary Army, and many contributed financially to the cause, but none did as much as Haym Salomon, one of the great heroes of American history – a forgotten hero, the wandering Jew from Poland. Salomon gave his personal fortune and also raised huge sums of money through business transactions on various European and American markets. He could have made himself rich and left a fine estate for his family. He gave everything to help establish the United States. We believe it is time to remember this great Jewish patriot.
